Professional Experience:

V. David Shaheen is the partner in charge of the Real Estate and Land Use practice areas for the firm. He has been practicing primarily in the real estate field for in excess of 45 years having represented lending institutions, developers, and residential and commercial clients continuously during that period of time. He is thoroughly versed in all aspects of residential sales and purchases, including issues relating to riparian interests.

He is well versed in all aspects of real estate law in the State of New Jersey and also has substantial experience in the practical aspects of real estate development, including tax free exchanges of real property interests. He frequently represents developers before municipal, county and state boards in obtaining the necessary approvals to allow development of property and he is also well versed in the formation of condominium developments, both commercial and residential.

Education:

Mr. Shaheen graduated cum laude from Lehigh University in 1965 and obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Rutgers University in 1968, where he was a member of the Rutgers Law Review. He obtained his LLM in Taxation from New York University in 1971. He served a clerkship with New Jersey Supreme Court Justice C. Thomas Schetino.
